Tell me about La Traviata (Raconte-moi la Traviata)
This short version of Giuseppe Verdi’s famous opera is sung in Italian, but with dialogue in French to enable all audiences to enjoy the work: children, young people and adults alike.
The story of La Traviata is inspired by Alexandre Dumas’s son La Dame aux Camélias, and tells of the dramatic love affair between a courtesan and a well-to-do boy in the 19th century.
